I normally would be disappointed by how this battle ended... but I can't deny that Angoramon came in clutch with such a massive quick thinking! So because of that, I'll accept how they managed to help Asuramon and also to save the day as well.

On the other hand, looks like Canoweissmon is not this perfect "I win button" as there's something very flawed in his ultra evolution, does this means there's a hard limit in how much power he can manifest? Will this problem only happens to him or the other future Ultra evolutions of the rest of the gang as well?

This episode made things spicier because of all of the above, and can't wait to get some answers in later episodes.

I forgive the anticlimax if only because, the heroes completely lost but Angoramon's quick thinking was able to save the day

In these couple of episode. I find it interesting they can bring a win in different ways without killing.

It was a nice change of pace considering how bloody these past episodes were.

also, angoramon really has been able to be the main spotlight digimon this last 3 episodes

This power limit in the Ultimate Evolution system is going to cause problems down the road and I can already see it when they start dealing with ultimate level digimon that are known to be stronger or even when they start facing the their first mega level depending on how long we even get to that point.

I'm sure we're not gonna get the first Mega level enemy for a while, I'm guessing it will happen when all the 3 main Digimons get their respective ultras.

I agree given they're making sure every obstacle is done in a single episode I can't see major plots coming yet if even in this series.

watch its not a limit, Hiro keep saying "a but more" means he was about to tap into Mega, which is probably something a bit more sinister.

Well, the actual toy is an exercise band. It measures a persons actual routine and stamina to progress in the game. So a digimon levels up and evolves depending on how much you work out. So if logic of the anime is the same, then Hiro's own stamina is the issue.

Wow that was different. So it looks like pushing past Canoweissmons limit cause the evolution to revert back to whatever evolutionary form Gammamon was in before he became Canoweissmon not going to lie I think that’s a first!

Honestly, I was kinda reminded of Universe's ultimate forms and how the main leads in that series could only stay in those forms for a minute before reverting back to their rookie levels.

I think that this is because the two are unable to reach the ultimate form and cause canoweissmon to revert back to gammamon or cause a dark evolution. I hope the next ep will have a new evolution

If I'm honest, I don't like how they let those digimon roam free after all the rampage and harm they did

Most things that the digimon do/harm, They don't get any consequences for their action

Ik it's anime and all, but you would think that if you see a bunch of cases where holograms/monsters keep on attacking/hurting people

and destroying buildings

That the government or the public would react or freak out, lol

I really want to see more temporary partner switch, they did it once and never brought up again

I'm both disappointed yet also kind of impressed by how the conflict was resolved. They didn't have to win the battle. When it was obvious where they were going with it, all I could think is 'No, seriously, this is how they defeat him?' but at the same time, it's different, so I slowly came to accept and even applaud the creators for this. And like another commenter pointed out, it is nice to know Canoweissmon isn't this perfect fighter that can win any battle at this point with ease.

Just when the dark, mandatory killing stuffs are getting tedious, we return with trying to befriend the enemy by defeating it with the weirdest gimmick possible. Man, I love this Digimon season! It just became my 3rd best, 2nd being Tamers and OG Digimon Adventure being 1st.

Really starting to wonder what the near death count is for this trio, doesn't look like Kiyo fairs too well next week either.

Wow, Asuramon was beaten by Angoramon taking advantage of Hiro's kind nature after he stole his face. But this was unexpected, apparently Ultimate Evolution can only go so far in terms of strengths and limits and pushing pass that will cause a reversion. This is going to be problematic in the future when they start dealing with the stronger ultimate level digimon or even encounter a mega level.

I think the Digimon in the gathering could really use a proper building for them to relax in. What they have is fine for now but eventually they will need to get themselves a building out in the open if there are going to be more digimon coming to the joint to visit.

but some of the main characters actions are so dumb. Yes asuramon would have beat symbareangoramon's ass but they could have at least tried to digivolve him when the fight began lol

it was kinda weird ruri didn't try to digievolve angoramon right when kiyoshiro was getting his face stolen

The animation for the fight scene was amazing! Also, there appears to be a limit with the Perfect evolutions (or at least for CanoWeissmon). I wonder what it is. Time limit? Stamina? Energy? I'm very excited to find out.

And is this the first time we got a direct acknowledgement from Hiro that he sees Gammamon as his little brother? That is so sweet.

In this episode Angoramon’s quick thinking saved the day but some of the credit also goes to Hiro as it was because of his personality that the problem was solved peacefully.

It feels really dumb when they lose without evolving. Angoramon literally just sat and watched as kiyo's face got jacked, which is low key hilarious. The ending was pretty smart on angoramon's part, but I don't understand why asuramon was ok with it afterwards. He was about to attack a populated stadium to steal a bunch of faces and now he's suddenly chill with no explanation.
